I am sure the perception of time is different for each individual. I believe it happens due to a multitude and complex interactions of factors in everyone’s life. I do not intend to describe those factors and their interactions; I just feel how they are changing for me since I came to the US.
In Moldova people take time as granted. It is not a big problem if somebody comes late, sure there are some excuses, even there are not any. Even being late, you can form friendships and keep good contacts with everybody around.
It is not the case for the US. Here people want to deal just with someone who is aware of time. Actually Americans appreciate money because form them, time is money. An hour is not 60 minutes; an hour is the money you can earn for that hour.
I start seeing time in the same way and it is against my will.
Time is more than just money.
